Frequently Asked Questions

How do I activate my license?

After purchase, check your email for a message from SpaceRay — it contains your license key. Launch SpaceRay, and when prompted, paste your key into the activation field and click "Activate License."

I lost my license key. How do I retrieve it?

Search your email for a message from SpaceRay (sent via Jamdillo). If you can't find it, email us at [email protected] with the email address you used to purchase and we'll resend it.

How many Macs can I use SpaceRay on?

Your license key works on all your personal Macs — there's no device limit.

What video formats does SpaceRay support?

SpaceRay supports MKV and M2TS files containing Blu-ray 3D content. Use MakeMKV to rip your Blu-ray discs — it preserves the 3D information needed for conversion.

What output formats does SpaceRay produce?

SpaceRay outputs MV-HEVC spatial video (for Apple Vision Pro) and side-by-side SBS 3D (for Quest 3, Meta Quest Pro, and other VR headsets). You can choose your preferred output format in the app settings.

Does SpaceRay work with Intel Macs?

SpaceRay runs on both Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) and Intel Macs. However, hardware-accelerated H.265 encoding is only available on Apple Silicon. On Intel Macs, conversion will use software encoding which is significantly slower.

What macOS version is required?

SpaceRay requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later.

Can I get a refund?

Yes — we offer a 7-day refund policy. See our Refund Policy for details, or email us at [email protected].
